Intersect Begins
Yesterday May 8th, 11 adults and 5 children showed up for the very first meeting of Intersect Church. We had a great time of prayer, read some scripture together, and had a great time of sharing who God is calling us to be as a church. One could feel a unity in the room as we all shared about the passions God has put on our hearts for the Palouse. We met in the house that Anna and I are renting and it worked perfectly. The adults met upstairs in our living room and the kids met down stairs. The kids had plenty of space to learn, play, and be loud without the worry of distracting the adults. We were able to buy nice tables and chairs for the kids to use to work on their projects and it helped make the kids excited about their new Sunday school room. The coolest part of the morning was when one of the kids came running upstairs into the living room yelling, "mommy, look it's Jesus. We got to make this necklace and it was SOOO FUN!" The reality for our group is that for some of the kids, this is one of their first church experiences and so it is important for us to make sure they get quality. Deb, the kids Sunday school teacher, who is a published childrens author, wrote the curriculum, created the projects, and did an amazing job teaching them to know that God is madly in love with them. Our kids are already getting the best of what we have to offer.
One of the guys in our group, Ian, made us a giving box and some of our people tithed for the first time ever. Pretty Cool!!
Please continue to pray that God will provide for all of our needs. God has already supplied our needs up to this point and I don't believe that will change but I want to make sure He knows that because He is our source! Also be praying for Intersect because we just heard of a potential building this morning that will become available by the end of the summer and it looks like it could fit our needs perfectly. It is relatively cheap to rent, has offices in it, and is owned by a Christian man. We would love to see if Gods hand is in it or not.
Thanks for all your support, love, encouragement, and prayers. We will do our best to keep you up to date as God continues to move.
