Here is the latest...

Today is May 24th a rainy day here in Moscow and we are quickly learning to not let the rain stop us!! This year has been the rainiest its been in a long time so, we have invested in rain coats, umbrellas, and rain boots so that we can still get out and pound the streets prayer walking and loving the community.
Our times Sunday mornings continue to be filled with great fellowship, teaching, training, and discovering who God is calling us as a body to be.  We had 12 adults and 8 children on Sunday and it was a good time as you can see from the pictures.  Jim Allen is our official photographer (great job on the pics) and he has been tasked with taking lots of pictures each week so that as we get our website off the ground, we can have a lot of great pictures to show who we are and what to expect.  They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so we hope to say a lot through our pictures.

Currently Deb, Anna, and I are working on putting a prayer tour booklet together for Moscow so we can get our people out praying for the city and equipping them with all they will need to feel knowledgeable and successful.  We have made contact with our Mayor and asked for her thoughts on how to pray for our city and we are still waiting to hear back from our Chief of Police on his thoughts as well.  This booklet will also be something that we can pass on to other churches in the community who have a desire to get their churches praying for the city as well.  This is one of the first goals we've been working on in order to be a boost to the city and the other churches in town as well.  We hope to have this ready by the end of June.

This week Marcus and I have been out looking for potential meeting places for Intersect to meet.  We have looked into several places and have had more doors close than open.  Please be in prayer that God would open our eyes to where He wants us to meet and also pray that we would have patience as we look for that place.  We have a meeting to look at a new community center in town tomorrow Wednesday May 25th.  It used to be a strip club and more recently it was a well  known bar.  It is currently being remodeled and could work very well for us.

Before we sign off, I want you to rejoice with us that the Davis family has had several offers on their house in Nampa and that our house is in the final stages of selling.  Hopefully within the next month both of our families will have our houses sold and we will be out from under the stress and weight of that.  Also be in prayer for our people, here are a few prayer requests we can be lifting up together:

Jim and his new boss' relationship
Ian and Mal's house selling
Francie and Mal and their pregnancies
Lindsey's cousins marriage
Erin's parents finding a job and meeting their needs
several our group is dealing with sickness, so ask for health
for wisdom and compassion for our Mayor, Nancy Chaney

Thanks again for your support and God Bless!!
