1st Community Service Opportunity of 2012

Acts 2:42-45 says, "All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper^[i]), and to prayer.  A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.

Usually the church gathers to practice Acts 2:42, but on January 29th, our church met to practice Acts 2:44-45 and we went out into our community to serve them and share with them our possessions and money.  As you can see in the pictures our group delivered firewood to two homes where they didn't have much firewood.  We also did a food pounding for both families and were able to give out of our abundance.  I am so proud of our church, we don't let our youth, inexperience, or size hold us back from being the church!!  Praise God for the opportunities and may He give us more and more so we can be the church in every way!!  Ya God!!
